No, not the eternal mashup-- this one is only two and a half minutes or so. But it is composed of 100% brand spankin' new Sonic Youth material. Newsweek's blog has the exclusive preview of SY's forthcoming 16th album, The Eternal, and it seems like the band put more than a little effort into streamlining this mp3 sampler. Sure, you'd rather hear the whole album, but when the release date is still three months out, this should tide you over for a while.
